I feel so rejected!!!

Got my first real rejection today. Here it is in all of its glory. One down and many hundreds to go!

"Dear Mr. Moya,

Thank you for your submission. Although this particular piece does
not meet our current needs, we wish you the best in your work and hope
you will continue to enjoy 971 MENU.

Sincerely,
Gregory Napp"

Congratulations! You have received your first real rejection. You are, thus, a real writer, boldly putting your work and your self out there in the world. Perhaps you will think of a creative response to rejection, a beautiful and colorful collage of rejections, a dart board sort of construction, or some version of an online dart board. We can discuss the important issue of "rejection art" at an upcoming meeting of Wild Ass Literary Enterprises. (You will join, won't you?) On a practical note, there are some contests/publications specifically looking for student-writers, and that can sometimes give you a leg up. I'll send a note if I come across such calls for student-stories anytime soon.

Well, yes. I got four rejection letters for my Train Language essay. I've filed them away somewhere. I'll probably find them again someday when I don't want to see them.
